We at Gay Volt honor James Alejandro Escobar as our first community artist!  Above all else, the Gay Volt staff harbors a soft spot in our hearts for James.  Further, his photography floors us.  As a strong, budding force in the New York City photography scene, James finds himself  “interested in places and situations that lack humanity or that only capture the atmosphere of where humanity once was.”  His work leaves a lump in our chest.  Let yourself react however his work speaks to you.  We love you James, however far we travel.
