I watched Taxi Driver last night for the first time in many years.  It is such a beautifully made film with such a dark topic.  If you haven’t seen it, or haven’t seen it for a while, go check it out.   It’s a remarkable film. 

Oddly, through all its sinisterness, it made me long for my past home; NYC.   It doesn’t matter that the NYC of Taxi Driver is not the NYC of 2009.  There are still the lights, the towers, the rain, the saxophone and the array of colors and people.  All the cliques still get me; I love NY.
