Obama Signs Hate Crimes Act

I just want to say what a wonderful event this is. It is federal and it is pro GLBT. Ideally, it is the first in what hopefully will be a series of major legislative accomplishments for the American gay community in the near future. It is unbelievable and unfathomable to think anyone would be against this bill, for any reason. It punishes violence. As of today, this is the new law of the land.
