The Boom Boom Diet Day 2
The Boom Boom Diet went well for day one yesterday. I had an egg and canadian breakfast for breakie. I enjoyed salmon sashimi and a seaweed salad for lunch. A beef roast with sauteed mushrooms and cauliflower for dinner delighted me.
Consequently, my carb content was next to zero yesterday. I cross trained for an one hour after work as well.
Oh, and I smoked some cigarettes. Woops. But, as you will see, the Boom Boom diet can allow for this. Only in its early stages, the Boom Boom diet is still forming an identity. The diet combines the wonders of extreme exercise and hyper specific diet during the week followed by harm and risk reduction over the weekend (modeled off safe sex campaigns). Weekends can be distastrous on the Boom Boom diet, one might partake in a bottle of vodka and god knows what else. However, Sunday thru 5 pm Friday must be highly disciplined, and harm reduction must be the goal Friday and Saturday. The goal of Boom Boom is that weekends don’t destroy the week’s progress.
We are still waiting for Alysia to emerge as the Boom Boom’s speaker and motivator. Alysia where are you?

I am going to continue where the lovely Karlito left off, but making one small suggestion to the ALMOST superbly perfect day above. If you are going to join us in this diet you must consider if you are going to have a seaweed salad out at a restaurant within the first FIVE days of this diet (and I mean MUST) you should consider asking for VERY light dressing as some restaurants will add in heaps of sugar to their sesame dressings.
To start off, we are going to take the first FIVE days and ONLY five, to purge ourselves of carbs, other than veggies. After you pass day five you are going to eat in complete health and balance. To start off you must make sure you know what is what here and do NOT mistake something terrible for you, for something healthy. A small example of this… I was in the pharmacy yesterday and this woman was saying how the “Chicken Club Ranch – Lean Cuisine” meal was healthy, b/c it was Lean Cuisine. IF ANYTHING reads, “CLUB” it isn’t for you. End of story.
Some good things to incorporate into our deeeevine Boom Boom Diet is fibre. I cannot express to you enough how helpful this will be to you to keep you moving at the gym. Some suggestions I have…
Burgen Honey Wheat: This bread is the LOWEST in carbs and sugar out of all of the Burgen breads and it is packed with goodness! (And DELISH)! I would also recommend both men AND women avoid the soy bread b/c any amount of regular soy in your diet DRAMATICALLY increases your risk of Prostate and Breast Cancer. Another noteworthy tip, while we’re talking about SOY here is SOY Milk. Avoid Avoid AVoid!!! It increasing your risk of hormone effected cancers and also contains much more sugar than your regular full fat or 2% fat milk, so just go with one of those!!
All Bran Cereal: This is an excellent way to start your day (AFTER you pass the first five days of carb purging) along with some Yoplait LITE yoghurt. Now, this could be diet, but I think it’s called LITE. In ANY event, turn it around when you see it in the supermarket and make sure it is the one that contains 7 grams of sugar and not higher. The good thing about this combo is that you are getting some natural sugars from the fruit, but not heaps to up your GI intake and you are balancing it with nearly HALF of your daily intake of fibre in the ALL BRAN cereal. A bit of All Bran goes a LONG way. With 13 grams of Fibre per serving, you are then balancing just a touch of fruit sugar with some protein and calcium.
A good tip too, is steaming some 2% milk and putting a touch of equal and cinnamon in it as a “sweet treat.” It is suggested by numerous studies and dieticians that calcium helps you lose weight more efficiently and quickly! Also, it has been proven that cinnamon speeds the metabolism and has NO carbs ..just deliciousness! So… those are my tips for the day.
More to come lovies!!!
i heart soymilk, when did it become so evil! i only started on it b/c my sigO is lact-intolerant, but now ive come to love it… le sigh…
the cinnamon treat sound like the BOOM BOOM BOMB tho.
lets work it out.
summers not getting any farther away over here.
